3rd Gen Help Me Plz

ok i am in a huge problem, i just beat petalburg gym where you then get surf from wally, now i have to use surf acrosse the river or whatever PROBLEM is i dont have a water pokemon and i dont have a fishing pole! so how do i solve this glitchy puzzle? cuz u can only get a pole right now in this part of the game from the island... and how do you get to the island lol!

I think all you can do is use gameshark or AR. Or ask some friend to trade.

and what would gameshark do? i have a bunch of codes just none that would really help me...

AR is another kind of gameshark
use a code to get a water pokemon
linoon,maril,lotad(saphire),mudkip(starter) can learn surf and their findable outside of water.

peliper cant learn surf unless its breeded. but by now arosechaos already solve his dilemma.

peliper can learn surf without being breeded, I use to have a Peliper that knew surf.

Do you atleast have an old rod? ._. If you don't then you are in a sticky situation that I am afraid I can't help you with, my friend. Even getting a tentacool or a magikarp would work. =\

haha, one of my first pokemon(I caught in R/S that is) was a Zig, and he had like almost every HM I needed on him.
