2nd Gen HELP! my yellow version wont start up

when i turn my yellow version on it shows gameboy flash across the screen but it just goes to a blank screen after that

Oh... Have you tried to clean the cartridge? (I'm taking you are using your GB and not an emulator) The dust usually causes that. Just blow it.

Yep, it's most likely dirt, though Yellow Version is pretty old now, and something might be wrong with the cart after all these years.

I suggest blow on everything (Gameboy, Cartridge) or otherwise it's a dead battery.

I'd say your game is busted then. Unless its a technicallity with your gameboy, then it's the game.
