Help! Need new CPU!

    Guys, I need a new CPU because the port is wrecked and the internet isn't working.
    Can somebody find a good cheap CPU, or better yet, a solution to this problem?
     
    It seems to me, the term CPU is being used to represent the entire computer in this case and the port in question is likely the ethernet jack on the back. If this is the case, you can easily pick up a PCI or PCIe network adapter to fix your problem.

    In the event that CPU is actually being used to describe the processor, the OP stated that the port was wrecked so a new processor likely wouldn't solve the problem. Either way, I think we need a little more to go on.

    Precisely.

    Get yourself a PCI NIC... Just ask for an ethernet card at any tech shop. Or if you want, get a USB NIC, why do you want to waste your money over a new CPU all together?

    Don't encourage the use of CPU for Computer. PC does just fine.

    PCI cards are pretty simple to install, you pull the side off the computer, remove a backplate and slot the card into a PCI port that looks the same. I've seen people try to force a PCI-E graphics card into an AGP slot.

    Ughh... You can get the people who sell it to you to do it for free, no?
    Unless the OP good with computers, he shouldn't mess with computer hardware :/

    CPU stands for "central processing unit," a very specific part of a computer.

    If you're having problems with internet, you can probably just buy a PCI NIC card. You can get them off Newegg or in most stores that sell computer hardware.
