[Other] Help Needed - Issue With National Dex

    Hi

    I'm fairly new to Rom Hacking, and have encountered a problem. I want to make it that when Professor Oak first gives you the Pokedex that he gives you the National Dex too. So what I've done is located the special 0x16F, which I've gathered enables the National Dex. I've added that in right below when you get the standard dex. Everything works fine, until I get to Route 22, and then the Rival never appears for a battle. Could anyone please offer some suggestion on what I need to do to make this work.

    I don't think the national dex would have anything to do with that. There should be a "setvar 0x4054 0x1" somewhere in oak's script, which activates the rival event script. Maybe you've accidentally deleted that part?
