Ok well I have a Timid Porygon-Z. I already know I'm going to EV train it in Sp. Attack but I'm not sure what else to EV train for. I was thinking going half n half on defense/sp. defense. Any suggestions?

Also, what would be a good moveset for it?

Best to train it in speed.
    Porygon-Z @ Life Orb
    -Shadow Ball
    -Ice Beam
    -Thunderbolt
    -Tri Attack

Well I was thinking of keeping Nasty Plot to add some power. And I guess since it is my Special Sweeper it does need the speed. Do you think replacing one of those moves with Nasty Plot is a good idea?

It's your choice overall. But Life Orb does boost it's attacks by 1.5 so I don't see a need for it. If Nasty Plot. Then I would replace Shadow Ball for it. Tri Attack is a well must for Porygon-Z. A BoltBeam moveset is always helpful.

    Porygon-Z @ Focus Sash
    -Tri Attack
    -Nasty Plot
    -Ice Beam
    -Thunderbolt

    Good enough for ya?

hmm well now that I know what a life orb does i think the first moveset is pretty killer. thanks dude. But honestly, should I put the 252 ev's into speed? it is timid, so its speed is upped a bit.

    Speed is needed on Porygon-Z. Though sadly, it won't out-speed Garchomp. D;

Then again. I'm not sure how much Life Orb boost by 1.5 exactly. But the damage is helpful.

k thanks for the help man.
EDIT: I just checked out what the life orb does, and it raises ATTACK by about 1.3 while taking 10% of my HP every time I attack... I'm thinking Nasty Plot is a keeper.

It raises both Attack and Special Attack by 30% or 1.3 how you said. XD If Nasty Plot. I suggest Focus Sash.

alright well i'll probly go with your first moveset then. now to decide between life orb and focus sash...

Assuming if it's EV trained in speed, how would a choice scarf Modest Porygon Z stand up speed wise?

It'd do okay, but sticking to only one attack is a major suck. Also, CS Medicham and CS Heracross will crush it (assuming that they're Jolly Nature)

Next, Timid Porygon Z can outspeed Adamant Garchomp, therefore making it a good send-in if you anticipate the opponent's Garchomp has 303 or less Speed.

Now as far as movesets go, I can suggest this:

    Porygon-Z @ Life Orb
    Ability: Adaptability
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Spd / 252 SAtk
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Dark Pulse / Hyper Beam
    - Thunderbolt
    - Ice Beam
    - Tri Attack
Basically just traditional typical sweeping. Hyper Beam if you want to go out with a bang.

Then there's pulling Agility, with Modest instead of Timid, and putting that over Dark Pulse. It's risky, but sinister if you don't want to run with Choice Scarf.
