I'm trying to catch Mesprit, and I've got it's Hp down to one.
But, everytime I try to catch it with an Ultra Ball, it fails!
Should I just keep trying, and I'll catch it eventually?
or should I use the Master Ball instead..

Use a pokeball and follow this: L- when ball is thrown. R- when ball opens. B- when pokeball catches and falls to ground. Rapid A's- When ball starts running.

I hate those urban myths about pushing buttons to increase your odds. None of them work. Maybe someone somewhere has gotten lucky enough to make it seem like it works, but none of those lame tricks work.

I waited till night and caught it with a dusk ball. I used about nine before I succeeded.

I've also waited into nighttime to capture it for a friend of mines. I put it asleep and kept throwing Dusk balls at it until I caught it

If you're hunting for Mesprit at night, Dusk Balls can work wonders too. Personally, I used Super Fang to reduce health, then Quick Balled after that. Took me about 2 hours work, but I got it.

You should just use Quick Balls if it's daytime, or Dusk Balls if it's nightime. I found that the easiest way to encounter Mesprit is to constantly cycle from Floaroma Town to Route 205 and check your Marking Map intill you see him in Route 205, much quicker than using the silly map to track her/him.

i used ultra balls all the time to capture it. it wasnt easy, but i think that mesprit is easier to catch of the legendary trio. even have a pokemon that can learn mean look, thats how i did it.
