2nd Gen Help please!

    can someone help me? my friend has this weird problem with his pokemon gold and red. The save file gets deleted after a save or two and all that shows up is NEW GAME and OPTIONS. HELPPP
     
    One question, is this on the actual game cartridge or on Emulator? I can't help you if the problem is on emulator, though.

    If it is on the cartridge, then the save battery probably died.
     
    it sounds like the save battery is dead/dying. I feel like, if it was an emulator, it would either work or it wouldn't; it wouldn't stop after a few times and it certainly wouldn't delete her save file.
