4th Gen Help with Action Replay

    Hello, I have decided to revisit Sinnoh and was wondering what the easiest and safest way was to gen pokemon in. I want to start a new save with a trapinch for a starter to mix things up. I would be playing the game on my new 3ds xl, but I have an old 3ds that I can use the hacking on to limit the risks involved. I know that an action replay allows the player to hack, but I dont know much about the product, and I was wondering if it was even possible to gen any level 5 pokemon into your game. If its not, can you please let me know of a way I can. Thanks in advance.
