3rd Gen Help with altering the altering cave, lol.

You should know better then this.you should use the Simple questions thread.ill go get a mod.

It doesn't need to be in Simple Questions. That's for questions that have yes/no/very simple answers. There's not even a definite answer to this, so it can stay. Try searching the FAQ though for "altering cave" There's a tidbit on it.
 
I'm pretty sure all you see are Zubat,until you do something,i dont remember what though XD.
 
The only way to get different pokemon in the altering cave it been geting a nintendo promotion, which have not been released yet, so just forget about the altering cave right now, unless you want a zubat.
 
There is also Altering Cave, which wild Pok?mon change by scanning Card-Es. Unfortunately that is only in the Japanese version, but some say that it can be changed by the Wireless Adaptor Communication System...

Uhh, doesnt activating mystery gift do something?
 
i dont think so.mysterygift is just for getting free stuff like in the GSC games.
 
And couldn't something that alters the Altering Cave be considered as "free stuff"? Unless they make you pay 5 bucks or something...
 
You change the pokemon in Altering Cave through Mystery Gift. Im not sure how though, as the only person who I know that has the game is my sis, and she cant be bothered to get mystery gift.
 
You either change it using Wonder Spots or the Wireless Communitcator. You use Wonder Spots through the use of Mystery Gift. Wonder Spots are things Nintendo does. Things Nintendo of America does are things they do to a few select states, while you can go almost anywhere in Japan and find one.
 
Wonder Spots are currently in Minneapolis, Seattle and Atlanta in America. When you download a ticket from a spot (of which you would have needed to activate Mystery Gift), the Pokemon in Altering Cave shall change to match a certain Pokemon of your ID number.. the last bit hasn't been confirmed, but the statements beforehand have been. ^_^
 
Okay, thats slack. Wonder spots dont exist in good old Australia. I guess Ill have to get my friend to breed Houndoom in his Colluseum for me...:(

For Pokemon, they are:

Zubat, Mareep, Aipom, Pineco, Shuckle, Teddiursa, Houndour, Stantler and Smeargle. You can get all these Pokemon in Colosseum (or capture and breed) and Emerald, in the areas in the Safari Zone that open up after you defeat the Elite Four.
