Hello, guys! I have recently tried to start learning a little about hacking Pokemon roms so I can hopefully someday create my own adventure. I'm a long way from that, but you gotta start somewhere, huh?!

I was coding different things and learning new stuff such as "giving items", "giving Pokemon", "battles", and "talk". But I wanted to add something into Pokemon Fire Red (the rom I was playing with as a test) as a kinda "second starter" and I can't figure it out for the life of me!

I want to walk up to a person who begins the conversation telling me he/she has too many rare Pokemon and request I take one off her hands (something like that anyway) and give me the option of Dratini, Larvitar, or Beldum. I want to be able to choose one out of a list of 3 and he/she say to take good care of the Pokemon and then have the screen turn black and the person be gone. Of course, playing the fanfare music when you receive something.

Can somebody please help provide a skeleton of this type of code? I have been trying for hours and I'm getting pretty frustrated. :(

You could try asking in the ROM hacks section.... this part of the forum is about Game Development, not ROM hacking.

Rossay, try reporting it next time rather than posting. But, KSR, he is right. Post this in the ROM Hacking section.
