Anyone could help me make the pointer of the pokedex into a working script offset?

PS: I tried hex editing its offset and replaced it with my script offset using HxD, but when I tried to open the pokedex...it just froze...and I only want the screen to do a fadescreen effect at first.

Used the menu offsets found by Chaos Rush(so credits to Chaos Rush)

    Game: Fire red

These pointers call ASM functions and not scripts. That's why your game froze when replacing it. The only thing I can Think about that is to call an ASM function that calls a regular script so you can have the script working.

I see, is there an ASM file that reads a script offset and execute it?
