Hey guys, I'm making a new set myself (to be like fun and stuff). This is a mechanic that I've made, but I'm not quite sure on the wording (like it's too much wording).

Tangent [cost] (At any time you may play an instant, you may remove a card in your hand from the game and pay the tanget cost. If you do, play [spellname] without paying its mana cost and as though it is an instant.)

This is the literal sense, I'm thinking if there is a way to shorten this while retaining the same meaning.

when you play an instant you can remove a card in your hand and pay the tanget cost, if you payed the tanget cost you can play it without paying it's mana cost and treat this as though it is an instant

I dont' think I could understand that. Anyway, I guess I'll pull soemthing from the files to say waht it truly does (like in literal form).

    Battle Growth 4G
    Sorcery
Tangent [G] (At any time you may play an instant, you may remove another card in your hand from the game and pay the tanget cost. If you do, play Battle Growth without paying its mana cost and as though it is an instant.)

Target creature gains +5/+5 until the end of turn

Right now the text is REALLY small, so I wanted to get the tangent thing a little smaller.

So basically it's an alternative cost where you can play this sorcery card at instant speed and at a lower price. I think we can work something out...right? (btw, very powerful common, 2 cards + G = +5/+5 is almost degenerating)
