Everytime i try to connect to Wi-fi I get error code 51100. I know for a fact that the WEP key has been entered correctly and the access point always shows up when i go to type create a wi-fi connection for my DS. I know this may have something to do with my MAC settings but i have forgotten my password and username to access my linksys router. So i was wondering that if i bought the Nintendo Usb connector off ebay would it deny me access to my wi-fi because of any setting i have on the router.

It shouldn't, since it creates a separate wireless access point from your actual wi-fi router. You should still try to recover your username and passwords for your router in case any other problems pop up.
