When was fire red v 1.0 released. i looked mine and it is written 1996. i searched and it is the year when red version was released.
i opened the file and it is playable on visual boy. so what does that mean? how can fire red be made on 1996 ?
pls i need an answer

The ROM file has the number 1996 attached it. That doesn't mean it was made in 1996. FireRed was released in 2004, not sure about the ROM file that was released after that (probably the same year).
