It does nothing in Single Battles. Just use it on teams for double battle(Plusle +Minun, Jolt+Vap, Latios+as).

Helping Hand increases the damage of the partner's move by 1.5. So if your partner would normally do 100 damage with an attack, it would 150 if the other Pokemon used Helping Hand. Doesn't work with fixed damage moves like Seismic Toss however.

also, its a priority based move, so it goes first regardless of speed. i think its 3 or 4 priority the last time i checked. its pretty integral in getting the highest damage possible in pokemon. lvl 100 adamant marowak + thick club + stab + eq + critical + belly drum + 252 atk evs + max atk IVS + huge power against a lvl 1 aron with -6 def, 0 def IVS 0 def evs
