she says, she lost her hotel suite key somewhere and the people wont be happy with her. I'm like sure lady I'll help you, so I go on gamefaqs and look up where the key is at and I found it but can't desribe it. Its outside and look at your left you should see it?

Well my question is has anyone found it yet and got a lava cookie?

I haven't done so yet, I tried and gave up awhile ago. And then someone said it was to do with Darkrai which it so wasn't.... xD

You work the new item finder, the Dowsing Machine, by basically looking at both screens and where the little lines correspond. The center of the dowsing machine is where you are standing, and each line left/right/down/up is one step in that direction. From there, you take the stylus and point at a spot. If only a single circle pops up and disappears, nothing was close enough to the spot you chose for it to register. If a circle continues to blink from the spot you chose, an item is near that spot, but you'll have to search around it to know exactly where. When you actually have found the item, you'll see a single dot on the exact spot where it is. The dot (item) would then be at however many lines (steps) away from the center (you). (Gosh, that was long...not even sure that made sense)

As far as the key goes, it was one of the less common occasions when the item you are searching for was a rather small dot, and would only show if you pointed at it square-on. I was stuck cause I knew it was nearby, just couldn't figure out where. Least that was the case for me. x_x

I've always thought that lady had something to do with Darkrai, but then I watched a video and Darkrai has a connection with Canovine city or however you spell it

I've got it already. And an easy way to explain where the key is:

Once you enter Valor Lakefront (from the Southern entrance), step left once and you should be one step away from touching the wall (I think it's once, if not, stay a step away from the wall without going up at all). Press A, and you got the key.

Just use the lady's clues to find it...Listen to what she says, then use the "dowsing machine"(item finder) in the location she hints to.
