Firstly, I would like to say sorry if this is not the right place to ask this question.

My question is: a friend and I opened a trade thread in order to help each other out, and to limit the number of threads out there; however, I am curious if it is possible to have to users be able to edit the first post in the thread (i.e. the one that tells what the thread is for, and enables us to edit it so that people are aware of its purpose)

If, however, this is not possible (two people being able to edit one post), then I would like to know if it is possible to get a thread closed and start a new one with the same heading. This would enable me and my partner to be the first ones to post, that way he could edit his post, and I could edit the post directly underneath it - that way it would be like one continuos post and we could each edit our own half (kind of like us both being able to edit one single post).

If either of these options is viable please let me know either through a pm (sorry, I only say this in case I forget about this thread when I go to sleep tonight) or on this thread.

Thank you mods for all your time, and for keeping this place mostly hack free. :)

I remember being asked that question before...I can't remember if it was you who asked it though. XD

In any case, it's not possible. Users are only able to edit their own posts, not the posts of others.
You'll have to think of a different way, maybe rather go for two threads.

Cool. Thanx, I figured it was a probably not... And this is only the first time I have asked... thanx for the help tho', I really appreciate it.

This thread can be closed now, as I have received the answer.
