I am Racenilatr, i'm a starcraft 2 person, TL person, Gamereplays person, that just found out about pokemon trading cards.

history about pokemon - loved the games as a kid, i personally trained 6 pokemon up to 100lv without any cheats or rare candies and they were all EV trained except one, Starmie (100lv). I retrained another starmie to 100lv just to ev train it. Played all the games up to diamond/pearl, stopped after that

As for pokemon cards, i used to steal pokemon cards from stores ;) as a youngster and ended up stealing close to 300 cards back in the day. The bestest card i had was a venasaur EX, but i know thats outdated with all these new pokemon out and such

anyways hi all can someone explain what all this is and what im getting into here? :D

Welcome to the forums, Recanilatr! I've collected a lot of Pokemon cards back then, although I don't know where they are now, but I guess my mom threw them away already. Yes, she doesn't care too much about it. But you stealing those cards? I can't seem to do that. u__u; But, I sure hope you finally change your ways, you don't want to get in jail don't you :3 .. I also tried training a certain Pokemon till it gets to 100, it was worth it as I didn't use any rare candies or cheats to get it into such a milestone. It was hard though! So I never bothered doing it again. ^^

Anyway, this is the perfect place to discuss Pokemon. We have our very own Pokemon section if you want to discuss about Pokemon cards and stuff or if you want to show off your collection. You could also share your Pokemon gaming experiences to each of the games respective sections! PC also has it's own PO server if your into battling, but I guess you aren't though. :3 .. Just telling~ PC is diverse, so that's pretty much about it! Making friends is another thing your gonna enjoy here. :)

I think you really should give Black/White a try these days, as I found them to be superb! That way, maybe you'll also pick up some steam when it comes to the games themselves!

WHOA! That's quite a lot of cards stolen O_o I wonder whether they have these cards back now?

Hehe just kidding. :D Anyway, first you might want to read the rules and then post somewhere. Rules are important and following the rules keep you on 'safe side'. You're now entering the world of the Pokemon Community. (or PokeCommunity, or PC in short terms. :P) Welcome! Snivy pretty much gave you a brief explanation of what PC is about. It's a Pokemon world just for fans, and you can just talk about Pokemon all you want! You're not alone!

You should play the rest of the games after D/P. HeartGold/SoulSilver are really great games, even though they are remakes. Black & White, however, you should totally play that. It's a really incredible game.

I understand it's going to take some time to get used to the new Pokemon. Did you recently discovered them?
