    im someone who hasnt played these games in a long time, like, since i beat silver, ( and by beat, i mean totally noodled) and im starting a new game, but its been like 6 years since i last played, and ive forgotton everything, need help, Lol.

    I guess that's a good start to remember everything - or at least, most of it.

    Well, ruby and sapphire are the third generation of pokémon games - the games after Silver, Gold and Crystal.
    Diamond and Pearl are the fourth generation, the games after Ruby and Sapphire.

    Well, for the moment, there are about 486 pokémon.

    I'll give you some advice: maybe a visit to serebii.net could fresh up your memories and give you a good vision of how the new pokémon are.

    You should mayby download an emulator and a copr of pokemon ruby or sapphire but even better would be emerald. This is the 3rd game in the 3 gen games.

    you can even download fire red or leaf green (remakes of red and blue)

    You know how the spook said you can download roms well once you're finished with them try downloading the hacks and patch the roms B-)
