just joined up today, so i might as well do this! its been a bit since ive been in any sort of forum or something similar, so im a bit rusty at all this.

anyways, hi! im dusk :] ive been a pokemon fan forever, and the first game that i owned was white, though i played on a friends platinum before that. I cant pick a favorite from unova, but i can say with certainty that it would probably be one of the ghost types. Speaking of, the ghost type in general is my favorite, i cant think of any ghost type that isnt at least somewhat charming. Trevenant has a special place in my heart, though. love a tree.

other than that, i cant really think of anything thatd be relevant to PC? feel free to as questions

    nice to meet yall!

Hello, welcome to the PokéCommunity forums. My name is Serenity, aka, Serene. How are you? The first Pokémon game that I had was Pokémon Black, so I can relate to that. Generation 5 was my favorite generation, along with generation 7 as well. I see that you are a Trevanant fan. That's what's up. I use Trevanant on one of my Trick Room teams for Doubles. It doesn't disappoint. Which generation is your favorite and are you, by any chance, interested in competitive Pokémon? Nonetheless, I hope to see you around!

I see you are a fellow person of culture as well.

My favorite generation is gen 5, though i think that comes as a surprise to no-one; people's favorites tend to be their first, after all. It's pokemon designs are all top notch, and there's a sense of clarity and cohesion that i just love. The characters are amazing too- I'm doing a bug-only run of w2 at the moment, and its just reminding me of how charming all of the gym leaders are, both in design and in personality. There's a lot to say about the rivals, so i wont say anything at all, but just know that the first step onto route 1 makes me cry a little bit every time i play. I love those guys.

I have an interest in competitive pokemon in theory, though in practice i don't have the time nor patience to try. Theorycrafting and trying to figure out what could bring out the best in any individual pokemon is super fun, anyways. I've been wanting to try shiny hunting, though, so i might try doing that soon.

    Hope to see ya around!

I agree. The developers definitely went above and beyond with generation 5. Great story, animates sprites, big region, great legendaries, Gym Leaders getting involved with the story, and so on. I love the rivals. lol They introduced them as your close friends, which made it seem like you have companions traveling with you. I love the concept!

    Anyways, see you around!

Hello, Dusk, and welcome to the forums! We are happy to see you join PokéCommunity!
I love Generation 5 too (played Black 2). So many qualities, and the best means to train pokémon! There may be some Ghost types who are cute! (like Shuppet ^^)
Trevenant sure looks cool! What was your team in White ?

What other parts of Pokémon do you have interest in ? Art ? Anime ? Fan games ? ...

It is nice to meet you too! I look forward to see you on the forums!
