    Well, I don't really know what to say. Let's see...
    Uh...when I was 6 or so, my mom bought me a teal GBC and Pokemon Blue, and I was hooked instantly. I've been playing the games on and off ever since. I also have the luck of inheriting all of my friend's cards whenever they want to get rid of them, so I have a pretty large collection in my closet.
    Hmm...my interests are somewhat niche, but I'll talk about them anyway in the hopes that maybe someone will have similar interests. Cars, music, and games would be the trinity, I suppose.
    Cars: European/Japanese sports cars from the early 60's to the late 90's.
    Music: Mostly various genres of electronica, indie rock, and old jazz music. I enjoy pretty much anything you throw at me, though, name a band and maybe we'll have something in common.
    Games: Mostly PS2 games, my favorites are racing, music, and strategy RPGs. I'm a huge fan of the Bemani series, mostly of beatmania IIDX but I also really like Keyboardmania, DDR, and Pop'n Music.
    I'm also, slowly, trying to improve my knowledge of Japanese. I've got a boxed copy of Pocket Monsters Green on the shelf behind me, and I'm hoping to expand that collection.
    As far as Pokemon, I never really watched the anime and have no desire to do so, but I stand by the thought that Pokemon Silver is my favorite. There was something about being able to spend a lot of time, working to get 8 badges, etc...and then having another complete world to go through with more challenges and sidequests.
    Well...that was longer than I hoped it would be, sorry. Anyway, I just figured it'd be polite to do this, so...here I am. Glad to join.

    Welcome to Pokecommunity! Don't apologize for the long post, we don't mind really! xD It was nice of you to do out of politeness too, in my opinion. :)

    So you like music, huh? I happen to love music, but mostly rock/punk/etc. You don't happen to like Good Charlotte or Sum 41 do you? Those two are my absolute favorites. <3

    Anyway, I do hope you enjoy your stay here at the forums. Remember to read the rules if you didn't already do so. Just make sure to be active and post and I'm sure you will have lots of fun! ;)

    Hehe, I doublechecked the rules since I didn't want to do anything wrong.
    I actually like both of the bands you mentioned, and I got a lot of exposure to them from ex-girlfriends.
    However...I find it kind of hard to listen to them now, since they remind me of times long gone.
    I suppose my favorite English-speaking rock-ish bands would be Death Cab for Cutie, Death From Above 1979, and Bloc Party. They're definitely all different from what you're talking about but I think you should try giving Death From Above 1979 a listen.

    Er... I don't even know where to start. xD
    (Most introductions have very interests in them... your introduction is choc full of them!)

    I don't think that I could possibly address all of those interests, so I'll just ask one simple question:
    What's wrong with the Pokémon anime?

    I can understand why you don't watch it now, as it has become a little silly; however, the older series was really good! Care to shed some light on that for us?
    (I'm a very nosey person, I know. xD)

    As Neko said, don't be ashamed of a long post. It's something to treasure.
    We members here at PC love it when new users produce long introductions and make lengthy posts. It just means you put some thought into it. What's wrong with that? xD

    I do hope you grow to love the Pokécommunity as much as the rest of us have.

    There's nothing wrong with the anime at all, I just don't particularly enjoy it. I have a lot of trouble with just sitting down and watching a TV show/movie/anything like that, not because I lose focus, but because as I sit there I can't help but think of the 41283689 other things I could be doing right.
    I know it sounds like I'm ADD, but I'm not. o-o; I just enjoy interacting with things as opposed to watching something.
    If it means anything, I do remember that on a trip halfway across the country once I got two Pokemon VHS thingies, and I watched them the whole 7-800ish miles. Over and over. So I don't have anything against it. :3
