HG/SS vs D/P

    Hi there, I' done some snooping on pokemon and I'm gonna try get hold of a NDS and a Copy of pokemon. I was wondering what would make a longer lasting game,
    Heart Gold/Soul Silver or Diamond/Pearl (I'm getting the opposite version to my friend, whatever he has).

    So, what do you think?

    Also, should I get Platinum before D/P?

    Diamond/Pearl isn't viable, Platinum is better. Get Platinum for yourself and HG/SS for your friend.
    HG/SS lasts longer than D/P or Platinum lasts. If you want something that lasts longer for both of you, HG/SS is the better choice.

    But I think u should get HG/SS for yourself and Platinum for ur friend
     
    Actually Platinum there's more storyline than HG/SS so by the time you completed Platinum , it's around the same time as HG/SS . HG/SS has short storyline though 16 badges to collect ...
     
    I guess HG/SS for the majority but I still like platinum,
     
    HG/SS is full of minigames and mini accomplishments. It's almost like the game to iddle and play once you're done with all the games. It's full of competitions, old places, new little games, and things to keep you entertained. Whereas platinum is a long full game with 1 storyline.

    So you'll spend more time in HG/SS, but in truth Platinum is actually longer since most of the time spent in HGSS is "Oh look it's that old store!" or "now for one more badge!", like disconnected fragments to keep you entertained. "Now for the pokewalker!". They tacked so many things on it in order to make it bigger then original G/S, which in part was made tacked with things to make it bigger from red/blue, that it's a LOT of tacked on stuff.

    In reality it's better for you to get platinum to play, and then play HGSS to iddle on it. But since HGSS is the newest one, there will be events/more focus on it. So it's like deciding between playing a new game, or playing it's first part first for the full story.
     
    get hgss first than platinum. its best to apreciate that some pokemon were rare and hard to get in the orignal. like u can get only one sudowoodo in the wild in HGSS.
     
    HG/SS has longer gameplay, because you go to two regions instead of one. It's a great game! Platinums also really fun, I find it more puzzling, and with more of a story line.... Get the cheapest one?
