    I have no say in this matter, but for those of you who have played both, which one did you prefer over the other and for what reasons?

    I have SS right now, I have beaten the E4 and Lance so I'm working my way through the next 8 badges. I find it fun with the updates and the POKeAthlon is something I don't despise. I've never played BW though, so what opinions do you have on both games.

    I bring up this thread because when I read this one,

    Lots of people preferred HGSS for it's replay value while BW had, apparently, a short period of "fun-time".
     
    Hmm... this isn't a fourth-gen specific question as you are asking to compare a fourth gen game with a fifth. I'd move this to PGC too but this thread exists there already which kinda covers it (just expanded to include DPPt), and it's still within the month since the last post limit.
