Hey everyone im new to the forums, my name is Daniel and i've been playing pokemon since i was 7 or 8, i started with a pokemon yellow and since them have collected almost every main pokemon game out there( lacking Ruby, HG and still have to order B&W), my fav common pokemon is Gallade and my fav legendary is rayquaza!.... And speaking of rayquaza i wanted to make a question about what would be a good ev spread for it...

Its been like 4 years since i got a shiny rayquaza and unfortunately by that time i didnt knew anything about ev training and pretty much screwed it up, i migrated it to my diamond and have it there but recently i found out of this "pokesav" program where you can edit your pokemon, i know that would be illegal but i dont plan to change its IV's or nature even knowing they are lame... i just want to fix the EV's so i can use it for battling in PBR against my friend's ubers too, ive got a decent green rayquaza but hell i like the black one more xD.

So anyways my shiny rayquaza's nature is Mild and its IV's are:
HP 31
ATK 29
DEF 3
SPATK 11
SPDEF 11
SPD 3

I know the regular rayquaza's spread is 252 atk 252 spd or a little less speed and some hp but given the awful spd stat of mine and the spatk boosting nature how could i make a near decent spread? I hope you guys can help me out, i really love my rayquaza and its my only shiny legendary sadly( i tried SR for mewtwo for like 3 weeks and no luck even when i got rayquaza in like 10 SR or so LOL :<) so i would like it to not suck so badly when battling my friends...

At least you have a Shiny legendary. I mean one time I tried SRing for a Shiny Rotom, and failed. Mostly because I tried like, 20 times or so and gave up. XD; Welcome to the forums.

If you're looking for Rayquaza sets, you might want to go and ask around the Strategies and Movesets part of this place, since they're you're best bet for getting some advice on EV training and whatnot. I used to be alright around there, but with the newest generation afoot, I know nothing, except that Ferrothorn is like, an awesome leech seeder. :D It's a shame your Rayquaza's IVs aren't any better, but I guess Mild helps. Just means it's gonna be pretty good at attacking on both sides of the spectrum. Maybe you'd be interested in RNG abuse? It's more technical and stuff, but it really does help you get those wanted IVs. Call it cheating if you will, but it's legitimate and doesn't change your game at all. :)

Mmm, I've started with yellow as well! Such a cool game. <3 Well, until you get pokemon black or white, or maybe both, all I can tell you is, its become my favourite pokemon game. <3 Such a great plot; along with amazing game play, and great graphics on the DS!

Now, normally for Rayquaza, the Dragon Dance set is: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD / 216 Spe [according to smogon]. Rayquaza is pretty cool; not my favourite dragon sorry to say, but still is pretty cool; I wanted a shiny rayquaza once; it probably took like...4 hours of non stop resetting until I finally found one. @-@; Anyhow, what you can do is ask help about your rayquaza on the Request a Moveset / Simple Q&A / Breeding Questions thread on the Pokemon Stradegies and Movesets board where you can talk about all things competitive pokemon related, as long as its not an in-game team you want to build, on which you'd have to go to the In-Game Team Help board.

Wow those were really quick replys, thanks you 2 for the advices i'll be sure to check the links and ask around there. I've read about abusing RNG, i used to do that in my gba golden sun 1 and 2 lol but there it was so easy compared to pokemon where you have to count like every milisecond and every screen @_@ i think i got a headache from just reading the whole thing lol.

About smogon, i have a normal pretty decent rayquaza with one of their stats/moveset build and it works pretty awesome but still i would love to use the black one shame that its stats didnt go as i would desired though thinking about that most my shinys have had awful nature/stat combinations...(rash magikarp with 25 spatk and 8 atk T_T lol) my best shiny pokemon has been my shiny ralts in which i spended hours pokeradar chaining with an exclusively-ment-and-bred-for-that adamant synchronize alakazam and it went as good as 28 atk, 31 spd and 26 spdef.
