    My name is Amanda, and I'm brand new to this community. I found it while looking for tools for ROM hacking, and decided this looks like a fantastic place to get inspiration and help for this ridiculously ambitious task I've managed to throw myself into.

    Alright, so some stuff about me... I'm 22 years old, and live in California. I've been playing Pokemon since I was 9 or so, my very first game was Yellow Special Pikachu Edition, and have been addicted ever since. I'm a stay at home mom, to a fantastic daughter named Wednesday. Hmm? I think that is the basics. So, I'm excited to get to know everyone in the community, and I'm sure you will see me around! Let me know if you have any questions!!
     
    Hey there Amanda, welcome to PokeCommunity! As with a lot of people the ROM hacking aspect brings them in. I for one joined to play Pokemon Shiny Gold haha. Of course PC is so much more than that, we have many boards and threads for you to post and discuss in. Visiting the Metal & Color Generations Gaming boards might be worth your while. I started with Pokemon Crystal when I was 11 myself and have been loving the series ever since. Wednesday? That's quite a unique name :3 I'm looking forward to seeing your idea in the ROM hacking thread if you decide to post in it.

    Now for some questions:
    Do you have any of the DS (Gen IV and/or V) games?
    What's your favorite Pokemon game?
    If you do play on the DS, do you trade online?
    Where did you avatar come from? It's quite interesting :P

    Nice to meet you Tabor! Yeah, her daddy and I were going for unique when we named her. Both us have bland names, and growing up I was always jealous of the girls with special names. As for your questions, I have Platinum Currently, and I have played Pearl, but unfortunately I've lost track of it over the years. I don't have any of the newer games yet, but plan on getting them eventually. That's why I decided to get into ROM hacking- Free hobbies are the best hobbies. As for my favorite game, I would have to say Silver. I was starting to really understand Pokemon and how the game works around the time it came out. I'm sure I've logged the most hours on that one, so I would suppose that would be my favorite. I was so excited when they released Soul Silver that I went out immediately to get it. I do play on DS, but I'm afraid I've been neglecting my save file for about a year now. I'll make sure to read through all the rules so I don't get in trouble :)

    Hello there! Welcome to the forums! Great to have you join us.

    I was just in California this past summer for the first time! I went to San Fran and then to Los Angeles. It was awesome and I am most likely going back again soon.
