    Hi there Pokemon Community, I'm here to strike a nerve.
    Due to nearly all of the Pokemon protagonists lacking a father (i know in GEN III his/her dad was a gym leader) i made me wonder, how many of you have parents that are actually together?
    I personally only have my birth mother and my step father, i haven't seen my birth father since i was about 5-6 years old due to a long depressing story that i won't bring you down with right now.
    So what about you?

    Despite my parents marriage turning quite rocky recently they're still together and no longer talking about divorce. I can safely say my life is a lot happier due to their perseverance.
     
    my parents are both married. they have a really strong marriage that i dont see ever ending which makes me really happy
     
    i live with my adoptive mother and her boyfriend at the moment. i've had a stepdad who my mom divorced and my adoptive father who passed away when i was younger. i;ve never met my biological parents. so theres that
     
    My parents married, and then my father died when I was about five. My mom remarried a few years later, and she and my stepdad are still going pretty strong, as far as I know.
     
    My parents are married for 22 years and they will remain like this until death :)
     
    My parents are...an interesting case. They were married for 21 years before they divorced, but in the interim years since, both parties made massive mistakes in their lives resulting in my mother living 2,000 miles all by herself working hard to save up the money necessary to come home and my father landing in jail. While suffering for their mistakes in life, they've realized what they missed most about the other both. With this spiritual enlightenment occurring, they consider themselves married still regardless of the divorce they filed three years ago.
     
    I only live with my my mom. My dad I haven't been around much but we do manage to see each other from time to time.
     
    Mine split after about twenty years of marriage.
     
    My parents are still tight & together. They even still do those teenage things.
     
    Mine split when I was only 1, they never married. I live equally at both familes. My Mother and Step Father for 1 week, and my Father and Step Mother for another.

    I have heavy conflicts with my step mother, which I won't go on about.
     
    Though they aren't on the best terms, my parents are both still together...for now at least.
     
    My mom and dad divorced when I was 8, and neither remarried, which is good. I don't want stepparents... >_<
     
    Hm, thankfully my parents are still married and happy. Though there are some problems, it's nothing to serious.
     
    Mine divorced when I was 1, but it's not really a big bother, I see him whenever I can and they're both okay with each other. c: Live with my mum but am gonna start living with my dad in Arizona (GOODBYE PUERTO RICO ; ___;) when I'm 18. o:

    Same here, I really, really hope that most of the people in the world are like this.

    Wow. That is really sad. Sorry, Do you remember why you have never met them?
     
    My parents are in their 50s-60s and have been happily together for at least...*thinks a moment* 34 years...Wow, never really bothered to calculate that. That's a lot. :3 Hopefully I'll meet somebody I can spend forever with.
