    Hello Pokecommunity~
I'm new here (obviously) and just figured I'd introduce myself. I'm Michael. I'm a 16-year-old junior in high school and I joined PC because I love Pokemon.

I especially love the Pokemon games and manga. The games were a major part of my growing up and the manga is a darker interpretation of Pokemon, which I thought was really cool. While I don't battle competitively or anything in the games, (not like I could anyways, lost my DS charger a long time ago) the nostalgic feeling of beating the game is still there. I've also found some interest in fan fiction. While I've yet to try my hand at actually writing Pokemon fan fiction, I have found a few well-written stories.

I think that's enough about my Pokemon interests. I also enjoy reading, writing, playing and watching sports, playing video games unrelated to Pokemon and listening to music (I listen to tons of genres).

So....I guess that's all I really have to say? I hope I can find my place in the community and hope to get to know everyone better.

    Hello Michael!

Let me be the first to welcome you to PokeCommunity! I also joined for that nostalgic longing for pokemon. I havnt read much manga but I do also share a liking for fan-fiction. I've tried to write one myself but time always gets the best of me.

I also like reading, writing, various video games of music. I pretty much listen to anything I tend to find a liking to, most favorite being techno, and electronic.

Anyway, the're tons of things to do here in PC from fan fiction and creative writing, to ROMs and Game Development(which could also alleviate your problem of not having a working DS) and pretty much everything you can think of in between. The community is awesome and i'm sure you'll feel right at home here. Feel free to send me a VM/PM if you'd like ;). Any questions at all, feel free to ask.

Welcome to our little corner of the web, Michael! I'm Cirno and it's a pleasure to meet you~ :3 I love Pokemon too (we all do here) so fitting in will absolutely not be a problem at all.

(By the way, Sneasel is awesome. Just thought I'd say, hehe.)

The manga is really cool, even if I never really read past Kanto. Definitely is very dark and the plot is quite amazing; kind of wish I read further, though I guess it's never too late to try. xD; It would be amazing if they animated it, though that likely won't happen... but it's nice to think about! Do you keep up with it? Maybe we can chat about the manga sometime as I definitely need recommendations and suggestions on which generation I should read. Hopefully it's all as good as the Kanto saga. <3 But that really stinks to hear about your charger and here's hoping you'll be able to get another soon. And Poke-fanfiction fan, I see? Stopping by the Fanfiction & Writing section of the site might be worthwhile then, since we have some pretty creative writers here on the forum. Check it out to see for yourself!

You'll definitely find your place here though - just make sure not to disappear or anything, since that will make it harder to get back into the forum later down the road. Won't take long to familiarize yourself with how this place works, especially if you have prior forum experience, and staff are always available to assist whenever you're lost. We'd also love to chat with you anytime, too. :3 Looking forward to running into you later down the road, have fun!

Thanks for the reply and I'm glad we have a few things in common. I guess I probably should have clarified a little better about the DS thing. I'm pretty well-versed in Emulation already, but to my knowledge emulators can't play online lol I just meant that I couldn't battle competitively without a DS. I'm definitely going to try to dive into as many of the areas as possible while I'm here and try to become a familiar face here.

I don't necessarily "keep up" with it. I'd gotten into it over the summer and have just tried to catch up with it. I read through Kanto (I loved the Kanto saga) and then I ran into trouble trying to find the Johto Saga in it's entirety, although I did eventually manage to make my way through it. It wasn't as great as the Kanto Saga and was a little more light-hearted but definitely made me look at Johto in a new light. I took an extended break after that and have recently got back into it, picking up at the RSE saga (so far, so good. Ruby and Sapphire are interesting characters to say the least)

I'd definitely recommend picking it back up, though, as I've personally enjoyed it to this point.

I definitely plan on getting to know some of the writers in the fanfic section and reading their work. I plan on eventually beginning my Poke-fic writing here as well, though I can't quite guarantee that will be soon.

I really think I'll keep up my visits here and get to know everyone. I have plenty of prior forum experience and shouldn't have much trouble with the technical part of PC, just the in's and out's of how you guys work as a community.

Thanks again to both of you for the welcome~

    - Michael
