    I bought Pokemon X (I've forgotten how long ago...) out of curiosity, and fell in love with it. Some time later, I got Omega Ruby for Christmas last year, though I still haven't progressed much on that one quite yet. Despite having the game for about a year now, my battle skills are... uh, still pretty lacking. So is my knowledge for specific Pokemon. Chances are, if you shoved a picture of a random Pokemon in my face, I wouldn't know its name.

    At the moment I am attempting to breed a shiny Fennekin. No need to offer help; I got lucky and received a Japanese Fennekin from a WT. I think I'm on the, uh, 200th egg now? Hopefully I'm getting close. It'll be my first shiny (well, the first one I've bred myself).

    EDIT: Finally got it! The 288th egg was a shiny. <3

    As for Pokemon Go, my parents actually banned me from playing it because "strangers could kidnap me out there". If I had it, I'd totally be on team Mystic.

    You'll get there soon enough! I bred a Dugtrio with one of my Japanese Dittos and the first one somehow came out shiny aha. Some good luck. Then there are times where it took hundreds of eggs...

    Welcome Purpzie. [: Sorry about not being able to play GO but hey you have X and OR now right?? Plus Sun/Moon if you plan to get those when they come out.

    Gen 6 are some of the easiest games so it shouldn't be too hard to improve those battle skills. Now with 721 pokemon it can be tough to memorize them all but start small one region at a time :)

    Sadly the last Poke'mon handheld I played was Poke'mon X. I kind of miss handheld games due to EV's and breeding. Poke'mon breeding was really fun and it took most of my time, other than EV training haha.

    That's sad but yet very safe for your parents to do that since there are a lot of people out there that are terrible. I play Poke'mon GO, but mainly around the daytime, not at night for the same reason of getting beat up and stuff.
