    • I posted already in the long new people thread, but here I go again. A few things about myself:

    -My name is Ava.
    -I just turned 19 a week ago.
    -I've been watching & playing Pokemon since I was in the 3rd grade.
    -I stopped watching after Johto, but I kept playing the games.
    -The Orange Islands were my favorite episodes & Tracey will always be better than Brock. :)
    -I'm currently playing SoulSilver & am going to get Diamond or Pearl Friday when I get paid.
    -If you like The Decemberists we're gonna be best friends. :)

    Hi Ava, happy belated birthday! ^^ And welcome to the forums!

    For one, Diamond/Pearl are noticeably slow compared to Platinum. Platinum has more legendaries to catch (if I remember correctly), extra places to explore after the game...I definitely recommend Platinum over Diamond or Pearl.

    • Thank you! And I'll go with Platinum then. I'm pretty excited to play it because I haven't watched the shows since Johto ended so with Hoenn & now Sinnoh I have no idea what its like. Ruby & Sapphire were adventures because I had no idea about any of the new attacks or new Pokemon or gym leaders.

    • Hey, I have Soul Silver, and I just can't quite get past the Johto League! Oh well, I will get it oneday.. But what pokemon do you have on your team? I have Meganium, Quagsire, Poliwrath, Kingler, Furret, and Dewgong.. Water is my favorite type, if you can't tell

    • Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum are awesome. Definitely get platinum though. =D
