Hi,
I'm 28years old and started playing Pokémon the day Blue/Red was released in germany, but I kinda lost interest after Diamond.

And that's exactly why I registered here (:

I saw all those amazing hacks and bases and wand to make a little hack that brings back my childhood memories but also includes some new and fun stuff.

My ideas right now are the following:
* either "artificial RED" or "MrDollSteak's Decap. and Attack Rombase" as base
* Uncommon's FBI HM system patch (just because I hated that HM system and to be more flexibel in general)
* no 721 pokemon hack, just the initial 151 + all their evolutions
* mega evolutions
* MEW :3
* reorder pokedex to make sense :D
* adding the missing pokemon to places that make sense

what I hope to not break in the process is:
* link battles + trading (would be awesome)
* breeding (especially with adding pichu)

EDIT:
* make the top pokemon follow you like pikachu in yellow (if possible)

Any other stuff that would be interesting? Any ideas? :) <3

Hey there! Welcome to PokéCommunity!

Unfortunately I'm not a hacker so I can't really give any concrete tips, but Pokémon RBY are completely disassembled so you can pretty much change it to your heart's content given enough patience, a text editor, and MS Paint.

As for ideas, you might have more luck posting a thread in the Beginner's Lounge - the name is pretty self-explanatory, but you'll probably be able to get more advice there. This section is just for introductions, and most of the people who frequent it aren't ROM Hackers.

Welcome to PokéCommunity! I'm glad to see more older players getting back into the series. If you're up to it, I do reccomend playing some of the newer games to see how much has changed in your absence, it's quite crazy really. Your ideas seem really interesting, I do suggest you post them over in the Beginner's Lounge to help you get more feedback on them from the rest of the community.
