Hidden Downloads?

Whenever I finish a download, there's this sound it makes. And now, every once in a while (like every half hour to an hour) that sound goes off about 10 times with like a 5 second interval between each. I'm not thinking much of it, but is it possible for unwanted downloads to take place without you knowing it? Dunno why I bother asking when I think I already know the answer...just wanna make sure...

Yah it's possible, I know because there this thing called weatherbug on my computer and I don't remember downloading it >_>, .

u might hav gotten that with AIM...the big pack comes with AIM, Wild Tangent, and Weatherbug
ok...if ur "downloadin" sumthin, its probably adware if you can, get an adware blocker(i dont have 1 :(

Hmm... clean for spyware/adware. That's the only thing I could think that would be downloading without it being rather obvious...
