I don't now how many people found it, but if you talk to the people in the first city after Route 1, in the house directly north of the Pokemon Center, you can add Drum and Piano tracks to all of the music in the game.

Did anyone else notice this? The only reason I know of it is because I have the strategy guide, so I figured I'd let everyone know in case someone missed it.

Edit: I read that wrong, apparently there are musicians in various areas of the game, and you talk to them to add tracks to the music in that area.

Hmm...it sounds like an interesting feature, editing in and out the different instruments of a track. Maybe they could expand on this in future games..? (along with bringing back GB Sounds...)

Why? GB sounds were special for HG/SS because it was a remake. Outside of another GB Pokémon remake, we'll probably never see anything like it again.

Considering people continue to remix GBA sounds and beyond into 8-bit tracks and the like, there seem to be some fans who enjoy GameBoy-like sounds of modern tracks. It does make sense for GB Sounds being "remake-exclusive", but it also is another option that could return in future Pokemon games. I wouldn't be surprised if it either reappeared in RS remakes or became a "third version perk".

But yeah...as Game Freak is letting players "experiment" tinkering with the modern tracks of BW with the aforementioned in-game musicians, permitting GB-style renderings of songs wouldn't be that far off, IMO.

I just noticed this! It's so cool~ The music in this game is pretty cool in general. I like how when your Pokémon's HP is in the red, the music gets more suspenseful.

There's a variety of these - I suppose they wanted to test the new music engine and its ability to slow down tracks, disable instruments, and stuff. You'll see various ones in a few cities, where you approach someone holding the instrument and hear them add to the music in the town. I wouldn't call them hidden.

Oh, and take note of what happens with the music when you run around in a route. :P
    O_O

I haven't noticed anything, one sec...

Yup, still nothing. Would you mind enlightening me?

Wow, I had no clue what they did. I think there's an accordian guy in Striaton City too, but I'm not sure if he did anything. Thanks for letting us know!

I noticed these a long time ago in my Japanese version. They do add a nice touch to the music! How many of these people are there? I've noticed four for sure...
