Thought I may as well make a thread on it. Japan has made a remix of the opening "High Touch!". The same animation is used for the opening.

I prefer High Touch!2009 to the original, the instrumentals are better, and even though it really doesn't fit the scene, I love the music when Team Galactic appear. I always thought High Touch was one of the worst opening songs, but I think High Touch 2009 is one of the best XD

High Touch! 2009 is a nice improvements over the first version. The song itself is okay. But personally I liked the Japanese Battle Frontier opening the best so far.

The only part I liked from the original was the instrumental used in the Team Galactic scene, and it got removed for the remix. :/

I didn't like High Touch! 2009 at all. :[ High Touch! was a nice opening, but the new music doesn't fit at all, in my opinion. It doesn't fit the animation at all. D;

It took me a long time come to like the original High Touch!, but I really do like this version.
:3 I wasn't fond of the original because it just wasn't very interesting.

The only thing that bothers me is that solo trumpet when they sing. It's a little distracting as it's to a little different melody than the singer. It's not "off" by any means it's just when I try to listen to the words I get distracted. xD

The new version makes me angry!! :x
The trumpets and the music overall sounds terrible, and doesn't fit at all with the animation. And they ruined the Team Galactic scene especially! It sounds all lame. In the original, it sounds all epic!

The original High Touch! wins. But meh.

I don't really mind, ya know. All I do is skip the opening, and I'm happy.

...not that I hate the new opening. I just want to watch the episode.

I agree, High Touch! 2009 dusen't sound pokemon meterial because of mainly the new insturments used. :(

The Galactic and Huter J scene sounded cool but overall, I perfer the original High Touch!.

Oh yeah, one more thing to mension is that that "HEY HEY HEY" at the beginning and the "GO GO GO" at the end in any version of this song sounds so tackey. urrrh :pirate:

Creating an alternate version is one thing. If they're planning on doing as much remixes like Mezase Master or Kimi no Soba de, no thanks.

But I want to kill the children responsible for the "Hey hey hey!". It wrecks the track since it contrasts with the instruments. The instrumental here is epic, and these kids are childish, and so it… wrecks the track altogether. D;

Exactly my thought. I got Nostalgi-Vibes when I heard those little kids ;_;.

Everything else was good though. I'll probably rip off the song and try to transcribe it to a rock version.

High Touch!2009 gets a weird bit at the start after the "Hey! Hey! Hey!"'s XD

Pretty good, but I prefer the original version. That one actually works well with the theme scenes. High Touch 2009 makes the scenes look rushed...

I heard the full versions of High Touch! 2009 and Moeyo Gizamimi Pichu! and I think they're extremely awesome. The original High Touch was nice, but I love High Touch 2009 way more.
