Today, the High Touch!/Surely Tommorrow CD has came out. I'm interested to know, who has got/going to get this CD? What do you think of it?

I think it's funny that they haven't released a karaoke version of High Touch!, it must show that even they don't like the instruments...I really think they should release more of the TV BGM, they've only got 1 on here "High Touch! (Instrumental Version)". I can't wait to hear the Hikari and Satoshi versions of the song!

Release more BGM and stop releasing these songs. I'm sure some people would like that *coughJorahcough*. So yeah, I won't be buying this ever.

The duet versions of High Touch would be fun to hear.. but I don't really keep up with D/P, so I'm not sure what the songs sound like, aside from Kimi no Soba de. Personally, I'd buy most of the Pokemon CD releases if I had the money, but I don't.. so I guess I'll eventually be previewing these on YouTube.

4 1/2 minutes isn't long enough?

This only proves we need to go back to Pocket Monsters' Rika-sung traditionally guitar-based themes (OK! comes to mind). None of these instruments and KIDS SCREAMING (which I actually loathed about Advance Battle's themes).

I don't think OK! was that good. Maybe something along the lines of Spurt.

I like OK. OK 2000 is really cool (although I prefer the original). Probably named OK 2000 because the amount of times "OK" is yelled XD I think we should have more like Ready Go, that was amazing...but Battle Frontier and Spurt are great too. So, uh, I just hope for good openings in the future.

We've never got, and never usually get, CDs just with BGM on. With some of the animes I've watched they usually put in absolutly *every* track including eyecatches and just TV sized opening and ending. The last time Pokemon brought out a BGM CD it had 4 full length songs and 20 BGM tracks, with about 3/4 of it already released on other CDs :/ Of course, I haven't actually watched many other animes, but I'm sure Pokemon's way of doing things isn't usual...

That's mainly why I said I hope. But maybe they will...at the end...whenever that is. I personally think the only good song here is, uh, Surely Tomorrow and even that's a bit far for me.

But I remember Ultra Maniac not having BGM included.

It was only now that I saw this part. After listening to the different versions, I found out that the Satoshi version equates to regular High Touch! without Hikari's singing and, likewise, the Hikari version is just regular HT without Satoshi's voice. Hmm. I didn't expect that (I thought they would sing their own versions of the whole song, as I didn't read the description very carefully), but then again look at the description below-it says "karaoke with [character] version."

That definitely counts as a karaoke version. And it makes better sense if you're trying to sing it, too, as it is a duet (unless you wanted to sing both parts) and it allows for better pacing.

On another note, I have lost the precious ability to tell if Hikari's singing in HT! is utter crap or not (as I noted earlier the first time watching the opening video), due to listening the to opening a bunch of times. Heh. Ironically, I also got used to the "honto" part, and it ain't that bad.

And I'm not sure if the singing and accompanying instruments are better this time. (Did they just cut out parts for the opening, or did they just re-sing it for either the opening or this?)

High Touch! isn't the best intro. I'd say the best by Rica is Spurt!

I think OK! is awesome. (Even after watching the opening hundreds of times) Ready Go, IMO, in its TV size is good, but I don't really like the full version that much. The techno doesn't work well at times (it drowns out the feel of the song), particularly near the end.

Anyways, it seems nobody here really cares about Ashita wa Kitto, which I think is alright.

High Touch! (Karaoke - Duet with Satoshi Version) - The parts where he was singing with Hikari sound as though Rica is really straining herself to keep her voice back, so she desn't completly drown out Hikari. He really sounds like he needs to be singing with someone there
High Touch! (Karaoke - Duet with Hikari Version) - The parts where she's supposed to be singing with Satoshi she sounds really quiet, and quite sqweaky. But I think it sounds cute. I like it when she says "sho" from "issho narapa", it's really cute. But how she says "go go go!" sounds like she was thinking "aww...I'm rubbish."
Together2008 （TV Version） I really wish it was a full version...I like it more than the normal version. I think they've improved the sound from the one that was in the episodes, the vocals aren't do drowned by the music
High Touch! (Instrumental Version) - Great, although not as "celebrational" as OK! or Advance Adventure instrumental. Mezase Pokemon Master at 0:53-0:59
