Hmm...as far as battles the raw isn't much different from the dub

    I thought in the original version, they always show Pokemon getting hit in battles, but I just skimmed over the episode 14 sub and they didn't show Pikachu's Iron Tail hitting Yanma. It's not too violent showing the collision so I wonder why they don't show it.

    For time reasons I think. I knew that the dub wasn't much diffrent from the original source because of the pure fact that both versions of the show are a KIDS show.

    Maybe the adults think so...

    BUt I'd prefer collisions since its more realistic.

    The adults think so for what? Yea I really see no problems with showing the collisions.

    I guess it would be more realistic, but Pok?mon really isn't very realistic.

    Pok?mon systematically fainting after battles isn't very realistic, wouldn't some have to die every now and then?
    Having a species of animal, with so many other sub-species so different from each other is unprecidented.

    Fact of the matter is, Pok?mon is a TV Show, a fictional TV Show, and it doesn't have to be realistic, it just has to please it's viewers without starting some big contraversy (which it hasn't really done a good job of these past few years ;) )

    ok...changing point of view:
    More exciting then. How does this one sound?

    Pokemon themselfs are a form of life. Like how in real life there are only 4 main way ycan clasify life, in the Pokemon world Pokemon are the 5th, so it's easy for them to have so many diffrent races. And a Pokemon fainting would be no diffrent from a human fainting after a fight or a race, any form of overusing your body will cause you to faint if you have no energy whatsoever left. So that part is actually pretty normal, most people don't get killed in pro fights, just like most Pokemon don't get killed.

    Of course like you said, it IS just a kids show uncut or not, so we could all just be over thinking the heck out of it ^^;

    Though from what I've seen in the manga, it's much more realistic. When Ash was attacked by the spearow hord early in what we know as the first episode, he just gets a few scratches, but in the manga he gets gashed and very bloody. so the manga is actually looking at it much more realistically than the Tv show.

    Depends on which mangaq it is, but I think I know the one you're talking about. And that one is a bit more realistic then the anime, and the main diffrence between those two is that the manga started before the anime, about a month or so I think. So the mangaka had no real idea what the show was going to look like, so he had to craft it to his own tase as all he had to work on was the script .

    You're referring to Toshiro Ono's Dengeki Pikachu manga. Not exactly realistic all the way. It shares the same things the anime does. Goofy, impossible to pull off IRL moments and more serious, and realistic ones.

    I wouldn't call having all the women with huge knockers and very nicely *cough* proportioned bodies too realistic. :P Ono's manga had that and shows it wasn't exactly too realistic.

    If your talking about Toshiro Ono's "The Electric Tale of Pikachu", then yes, that's what I have. But disregarding the fact that all the women are pretty, it is indeed a very real experience. There was blood, soul stealing, use of bandages, spitting, cussing, Ash actually liking girls (:P), the pokeballs numbered so you can keep track ( Something I always wondered about in the TV show.) So the manga actually made more sense and was indeed much more realistic. Seems you focused more on the women than everything else. :P
