4th Gen Ho-Oh/Lugia

i don't think so because you receive the rainbow ring/silver ring in Kanto and a doubt they will add kanto to HG/SS so no. but knowing nintendo they will add it just for the fans ._.

well it would take alot longer and nintendo are lazy i wouldn't care for kanto much ive played it countless times and quite bored of it... i'd like to see something new. i know it is a remake but they dont have to do the whole game over. That would be repetitive i think that Nintendo will aim to do something different such as the sevii islands.

Aright then, exactly why won't the keep Kanto in? Well, not only for the fans, but because it is a remake of the original, and the original basically had Kanto in it. The Rainbow Wing and Silver Wing were both obtained in both games and allowed us to capture both Ho-Oh and Lugia. Neither of them was exclusive because it just won't serve any purpose for the Whirl Islands and neither the Tin Towers. Kanto is a needed region to get one of these wings, and plus these games aren't like what we have today. For each exclusive legendary they were always located in the same place, but that is different for Lugia and Ho-Oh. They have two separate locations, and because of this I'm sure we'll be able to catch them both without being exclusive. This will just change the game too much. Also, Kanto is an essential part of the game being as it holds the Elite Four, and now might even be needed more to give us needed items for evolutions, chaining, and etc.

Also, putting in the Kanto region won't take the game longer. The game is still in development, and it was in development before we got released Coro Coro images of it as well. Nintendo knows what they are doing and aren't too lazy to add in another region. They aren't lazy to do this, because they know they'll lose out on sales as it'll disappoint the original game players and even the newer ones as well. The reason why Gold and Silver were so different from other games now is because, for one, it was a double region game. Two, it allowed both mascot legendaries to be available in both games, something they don't seem to do anymore. Also, it allowed us to catch our first shiny for those who might not have done so before.

Sorry, but Kanto is really important, and it isn't impossible to add in neither the Sevii Islands, nor the Battle Tower with Kanto either. The DS cartridge carries a lot more memory from 10 years ago, and allowed different features and it will definitely allow two legendaries to be caught along with adding the Kanto and who knows what else might be implemented. So, Kanto is needed to catch these two legendary birds, Lugia and Ho-Oh. Not only that, but it is needed because it was part of the original and should stay part of the remakes as well.

So, as far as the topics go about Lugia and Ho-Oh, with what I've just stated above, yes I strongly believe they'll both be put into each game, and not as version exclusives.

... The above threshold has given a lot for me to think about... Lets add BOTH Kanto, and the Sevii Islands! Eh? Eh?

I don't think you will be able to get both, because they only do that in 3rd game sof the generation like emerald and platinum, so if they remade crystal then you would probably be able to get both.

Ehmm but in G/S you also got both so why shouldn't you get both in remakes of those game, too? Also I doubt there will be a remake of Crystal as there's no need to.

I would assume that they would both be available in either game. That's kind of a major element, and it would seem like something they'd want to keep in a remake. Also, I would certainly prefer if they kept it like it was before, although maybe put a little more plot behind getting the wing instead of just a random act of kindness from an old guy in Pewter City.

I agree with this statement.

I'm pretty sure they will have both Ho-oh and Lugia in them. You were able to get both of them in Gold (and I think Silver too) so I don't why they wouldn't, unless they are intending on making an updated Crsytal Version, though even in Crystal you couldn't get Ho-oh 'cuz of Raikou, Entei and Suicune being in the Tin Tower, with there being no way of getting up to the peak!

Oh, I'd wish so. In R/S and D/P, you can only get the mascot, though you can still get Rayquaza and Giratina in both games.

you could get ho-oh in crystal
you had to catch all the legendary dogs then you go up tin tower to find ho-oh.

Idon't have anybody to trade with so I've always hated the tradethingy :D so i hope you can catch both.

I agree with what was said about the wing. I'd rather have more of a challenge than, "Oh, here ya go!" from the guy in Pewter. What fun was that? Seriously. But they should keep both of them in the game like they did with the originals. Lugia at 40 in Soul Silver, Ho-oh at 70 and vice versa for Heart Gold.

The levels for them can be like how they were in the originals or changed to both equal one another, it wouldn't both me very much at all. Though, I'm can almost bet my life [risky] that they'll both be available. They serve purposes for two locations in the game and will probably be wanted by the fans of the originals as well. I agree with you and the person who mentioned it though, definitely a new challenge to achieve the wings. Simply getting it was boring, and something as special as that should be obtained in a more higher standard way. A way that'll definitely keep us motivated on the game and keep on playing along as well. I can see them tieing in a nice after-plot with it in Kanto, but it's hard to call on what they may actually do with it all. All I can really call, is that more than likely Lugia and Ho-Oh will not be game exclusives but available in both games.

Agreed here. It wouldn't be much of a remake if both weren't obtainable. And an after-plot would be fantastic...and needed (for the wing, I mean). And that really comes in handy for those who can't trade. I can trade with myself via my sister's DS, but some people don't have that luxury, nor do they have Wi-Fi.

well we need both on both games like in the old games ill make a much powerfull team and it need a colection of items like the silverwing and the rainbowfeather like in the old games

i think Lugia will be catchable in SS and Ho-Oh in HG - not both in one, because in G/S it was so too, that not both are in one catchable - only in Crystal. But HG and SS are no Crystal remake.

I'm sorry but I beg to differ on this statement. In the original Gold and Silver, Ho-Oh and Lugia were not kept version exclusive as they were both able to be caught in both games. The reason why this was put like this is for one the game didn't involve a plot revolving around the game Legendaries. Ho-Oh and Lugia were the game mascots and gave the game a name. Also, in order to get both of the legendaries in the original you had to obtain the Raindbow Wing and Silver Wing, which I believe at least one of them was given to us in the Kanto region to access the two birds. Lugia was found in the Whirl Islands at level 40 if you had Silver, and Ho-Oh was found in the Tin Tower at level 70 if you had Silver. This went Vise Versa of course in Gold, but still they were both able to be caught, and it was the same in Crystal Versian except we were also able to catch the three legendary beasts as well. So, because of this, I think they'll stick to how the originals were done and keep both legendaries in both games and not version exclusives.

EDIT: It slipped my mind, but yeah, we can catch the legendary beasts in Gold and Silver as well, so I expect them to come back as well.

It'll be the same as G/S. You'll be able to get them both. If you can't then it would suck.

Probably will be the same. There is no reason not to. And flash, you can catch the dogs in gold and silver.

I would like that lugia and ho-oh are both catchable in HG/SS. That game will be nice if they put it in our wish list.
