I entered Saffron City and saw to my surprise, a handful of Rockets running about. After healing my travel worn Pokemon at the Pokemon Center, I traveled around the giant city ducking behind buildings to see where Giovanni could be hiding this time. Since the entrance to the Gym was blocked by a bored looking Grunt, I headed next door to what looked like a Gym, but much smaller. I headed inside and saw men fighting one another with flailing fists and kicks. I headed towards the nearest one and challanged him to a battle. After wiping the floor with all of the karate men, I saw the head honcho. Soon we were duking it out and with only two Pokemon, he was soon wasted. I then had a choice ahead of me and after a small deliberation chose Hitmonchan.
I headed out of the Gym and noticed a very large building in the center of the city. On a whim, I headed there. Seeing another grunt at the entrance to this building, I knew I had made a wise choice. After ducking around the guard I slipped through the doors. Looking around, I noticed how deserted it was. Now feeling a little nervous I hopped into the elevator and headed for the next floor. Within an hour and after a couple of runs to the Pokemon Center, I had battled every trainer and reassured every employee that I would help them. After a nice young lady allowed my Pokemon to rest, I headed for the nearest teleport pad.
What's this? My rival? Standing right there, waiting for me to happen along and battle me instead of trying to save these captives from Team Rocket?! What a brute!!
I battled him, and since I had taken the time to raise my Pokemon, soon reduced him to a sniveling jerk. After swearing to take revenge on me for this, he left via telepad and I continued on. Seeing yet another employee hiding in a corner, I went over to reassure her when she offered me a Pokemon for my assistance. I released the Pokemon and to my surprise saw a female Lapras before me. Knowing she could be of assistance, I nicknamed it Laplace, and would soon replace my Rafureissa with her.
I headed to the bigwigs office and promptly took down Giovanni, and in the process, evolving Hitokage into a Charizard. After sending him running, the boss of the company gave me a Master Ball as a reward, Which I shall be saving for either Mewtwo or Suicune.
Now I'm currently battling everyone in Sabrina's Gym with Laplace so she can catch up.
