I can't help thinking that Satoshi's improving all the time ^^;; Maybe I'll change my opinion about Mato being the better artist.

I've got to agree with Purin that Satoshi's style improving all the time. He's drawing more and more complicated poses recently too!

This is the first time I've ever seen Flannery in the Pocket Monster Special manga. ^^;;

and I don't even know who she is... (starts playing Pokemon Ruby to find out)

Um... I can answer that... that would be the leader of Team Magma. Last time I saw that Flannery seemingly had a crush on him, I had a heart attack. After seeing that pic, I think my life got cut by 50 years.
