    In RSE, we had this useless feature which is Mail. It was presumably used to attach it to Pokemon and trade them and such and yada yada. It was also used as prizes and one was used to actualy get the Coin Case in Mauville.

    Since the abandonment of mail in Generation 6 and with the vast connections of each and every one, mail can be a nice (or worse) way of sending messages to people via Pokemon.

    Do you think that system will be resurrected in ORAS, will GF somehow have to patch XY just to allow mail, do you want mail back in the games, what uses will you do to it if it comes back?

    Mailing COULD be nice too, but I doubt they'd resurrect the feature.
    I'd rather have Match Call with other players (voice chat)
     
    I'd love it to be resurrected, unfortunately it didn't get much attention from Hoenn fans lately so it might not be there in the remakes.

    I've never used mail in the originals because I played ROMs & was never able to interact with anyone. Though with the Wi-Fi coming in the remakes I could finally be able to send people messages with Pokémon, like for example in the Wonder Trade.

    I don't mind if we won't be able to actually write something & instead use a bunch of in-game words like in R/S/E, it's going to be a bit challenging but fun in the end.
     
    I was SO excited by the concept of Mail in Gold/Silver and remember trying to write messages to all the in-game trainers etc lol xD When I soon discovered you couldn't do that and, not having anyone to trade with at the time, I gave up on it pretty quickly so never bothered with it by the time RSE rolled around (apart from the task in Mauville which was actually pretty fun) lol :)
     
    Mail is a neat touch. But it needs to be better advertised for how it can be used.
    In-game trades that don't have an item associated with them should always feature Pokemon holding mail. That way people can know about it and use it.

    Mail can be useful for advertising user events, like the Wild Zubat Wonder Trade event.
    It can also be used to send out trainer tips for things people might not know about.
    It's also just a generally good way to put yourself out there. Pokemon encourages interactivity soooo much but isn't the best at advertising it outside of trading.
    I didn't know about the trading records until a friend of mine from out of state wanted to do it with me.
     
    Mail might be cool if you could just type anything, but I doubt we could. Chuck the whole idea. Never used it.

    Maybe have a new evolution method by having one attach a mail with a "code" and trade it? I don't know about it but I guess we could have more usage of mail in the trading industry. I mean, where else could you apply mail?

    I would personally love to be able to trade with gym leaders and get a special message specifically from them.

    Honestly with the inclusion of a friend list and wi-fi it'd be neat to be able to receice messages from your friends. Obvious passerbys and acquaintances shouldn't be able to send messages. But hopefully you'd be able to trust your friends.
     
    As much as I'd love to see mail return (yes, it was pointless, it was still fun!) I don't think it has much of a chance. XY already prevents Pokémon from having certain nicknames, some with good reason and others with...less good reason...that I feel it would be rough trying to get mail to work in a way that pleases the family-friendly nature of Nintendo (without reverting to the "pick some words" system that gen 4 had; gen 5 did it a bit better but the phrases were still limited and some of them differed from language to language--if you sent mail to someone whose game was in a language different from your own the message would likely lose its meaning).

    Ah yes! I remember the Harbour Mail we give to that lady so as to receive the Coin Case. Perhaps the only place where we get a Mail reference anyway. Otherwise we'd just store them in so that they don't take bag space.

    I also remember that every Trick House level distinctly gave a different mail, and their background patterns were nice to look at. It wasn't exactly a hit feature, possibly because of the limited vocabulary among other things. Now with all the new communications possible through the 3DS (and mail becoming redundant in the real world as well) it's unlikely they'll get it back in, and also unlikely to actually convey something important enough to make it worth wile.

    Sounds like an evolution method that'll fit Pelipper. Sadly we probably (very likely) won't get new Pokemon for these games, so thinking up of evolution methods in these games will not reap fruit. (but it does create ideas for the next generation).
     
    This was a cute feature! Game Freak could do with bringing it back, along with some adjustments. To make it more relevant, they could use it as a prerequisite to unlock certain events, like having to send mail to an old gym leader before getting a HM or something. Would be pretty difficult to play 'messenger' if you didn't have Fly at that point in the game haha. If they bring mail back, it should get a renovation similar to that so it's actually paid attention to. :c
     
    Mail should be in the game considering one of our sidequests is doing mailwork for Devon and giving a letter to Steven and a package to Capt. Stern haha x3
