"Hold the Phione!" Episode Discussion

I saw the episode. I always thought Buneary was a boy, but its a girl. I never knew that....

This episode...? I think it was average one :)
 
It wasn't as bad as the last episode, at least

- Phi-oh-*nee*?
- It's cute!
- I am never going to stop laughing when the lyrics say "you know you're strong" and Cyrus comes up XD
- Oh, now they're saying "Phi-oh-nay". I suppose that makes more sense because that's about how you pronounce it in Japanese
- Bunery and Pachirisu? Yay! I thought they were dead in their Pokeballs. Piplup, no one wants to see you again, go away -_-
- I don't know why Jessie and Hames covered their faces, the twerps wouldn't have recognised them, anyway XD
- Bottle caps XD
- Phione's voice is cute!
- Hmm thinking about it, Giovanni's character has really been killed XD
- Haha Ash is completly clueless again XD

This episode was pretty terrible. It starred the worst legendary Pokémon ever created and almost nothing really happened besides that battle where it was finally made canon that Phione is the worst legendary Pokémon ever.

I thought you had died XD I still think this episode was better than the "Cresselia VS Darkrai" episode, at least Phione was shown to be cute, the Darkrai episode was boring and they advertised a battle that was just them colliding a few times.

Phione was annoying. What kind of genderless Pokémon falls in love? At least the collisions were made by two exciting Pokémon and not a terrible legendary Pokémon and a Pokémon who almost never shows up. I'm lucky I wasn't here to post this discussion.
 
this episode was cute..but it was weird..phione...sum sort of sea creature falls in love with a bunny

the cresselia vs darkrai was much better imo...it was funny too
 
Filler.

And no, not the type that fills the character minimum: This episode was nothing but filler to me.

It shows a legendary nobody cares about. Then, Buneary beats it. BUNEARY. Really? I mean, come on...of all Pokemon, Dawn's Buneary gets to be put on the same pedestal as Charizard and Pikachu.

Then it showed said "nobody-gives-a-rat's-ass-about-you" legendary doing some lulzy tricks with the city's water lines and making its citizens poop bricks. Not really anything that's that special imo.

Oh well, next week'll be MUCH better.

Phione was only made genderless for the games, which it or none of the other legendaries should be imo. From the anime point of view, it isn't impossible that Phione can get a crush on Buneary.
 
There was a baby Lugia in Johto, so it's already been shown that the anime isn't exactly like the games in that way.

That doesn't mean it can't get transfered over.

At least it was the same species not a cross breed.
 
What does being a cross breed have anything to do with it? o.O

XD No, but you were saying you didn't like it because Phione is supposed to be genderless, not because it's cross breed, otherwise you would've said about Pikachu/Buneary, too.
