I'm so suprised, as of the last japanese feauring Cynthia episode Paul has the following pokemon:
    Chimchar
    Murkrow
    Weavile
    TORTERRA!
    Elekid
    Ursaring

He has achieved a full team, and in season 1 and 2 Ash style has more than one starter.I love his Character but having more than one starter is kind of annoying.Any opinion on this?

Ash had all the starters for the first two regions. It's nothing.. new.

I really didn't expect Shinji to get a Torterra! That's really unexpected. And by the looks of it he isn' very happy with Chimchar so he may release it. If so then there's a 1% chance Ash may get it....

That's one Pokemon that I think ash should get. Then he should beat Paul with him (it sounds kind of mean to call a Pokemon 'it'). That's just be irony. Plus, it would satisfy my hope that Ash eventually beats Paul. Just as long as it doesn't take forever to do. It probably won't happen though, because it's actually a GOOD idea.

And if Paul calls Ash 'Chicken-Wuss', I'll stop watching Pokemon.

I know this is off-topic, but what if the show dropped ash as a character and continued the series with dawn???

    SEIFER!!!

Alright, spamming aside, why should Ash ever need to beat Paul? I mean, Ash has pwned nearly every opponent he's come up against since generation III on, even if he has to rematch them after a filler arc. A rival who actually takes a key role in the show and isn't a complete pushover? It's like having a more interesting version of Gary back!

The issue isn't whether he's a pushover or not. It's more about experience. Ok, sure Ash lost to him the first time. That, I didn't have a problem with. But the fact that he's lost to Paul THREE times in a row now, not withstanding the fact that this is Paul's first year as opposed to Ash's FOURTH, just seems a little odd.

It's like the writers are trying to bait the fans into another would-be scenario that won't ever happen (aka, everyone wanted ASH to be the first one to beat Gary, NOT MewTwo Drizzt). And sadly, it's starting to look like this'll be a repeat of that scenario (where the rival is mean until he gets beaten by a Legendary Pokemon, then he mellows and becomes this nice guy). THAT'S the real issue. And given Pokemon's track record, it probably isn't too far off the mark.

Even Seifer ended up going this route (though it made less sense, and was for a different reason). Yes, FFVIII's villain, the man with the insults of a 7-year-old, became a Gary clone.

Then that would be lame cause I hate watching pkmn contests and also Ash is the main guy who has been there since day 1 they would probally lose ratings.

Oh and I don't think he be releasing his chimchar cause in my opinion he probably secretly likes that pkmn

    NO 1 dissies gary lol

anyway ash wuldnt want paul's pokemon he stinks

Well if he had an Empoleon, i think Paul would of used it against Cynthia if he could.

well, he had a full team with him, so he didn't have room for a Prinplup or empoleon, and i doubt he knew that he would incounter the CHAMPION on the road

Well, I just found out that this isn't Paul's first year. He's actually been a Trainer for about as long as Ash has. Not that it really matters, but I just wanted to point out that I made a mistake there.
