4th Gen Honey Tree Analysis

Yup. It's a fact that Munchlax only appear there.

NO WAY!!!!!!! :( I got a munchlax outside route 206, outside Hearthome, and north of solaceon.

Munchlax can appear on any honey tree. The appearance rate is 1%. I caught mine on Route 214. It took me over a year to encounter one.

The reason it seems the honey disappears is because it's never applied in the first place. There's a "glitch" of sorts in the game where sometimes after you slather the honey, it doesn't register. What I always did was press A in front of the tree to make sure it says the honey is there, then press B to cancel before applying more honey.

I doubt such a large scale glitch could escape from the beta testing radar.
It's because you've come back to late.
I don't beleive it's a glitch.

Only ever used the Honey Tree twice.
Caught an Aipom on the first try and a female Combee on the second.

Maybe, once I've finished the game, I'll go back and attempt to capture a Munchlax and a Heracross.

Snorlax are near impossible to get without 3rd gen help, I give up using the Honey method

Looks like I will bribe my friend to trade over Snorlax and does anybody know whre to get the "Lax/Full Insence?" I am hoping to also catch an Honey Tree Munchlax for the heck of It.

I get wurmples every time!! Most of the time I forget about the tree but when I do go back its a wurmple.

So, do we have to wait a certain amount of time? Or is it a certain tree?

I've only used those trees like 3 times...
Once i caught a Combee(Fermale) on my friends game, before i got mine, on my first try, then i slathered honey on a tree on my game, but forgot it, then on the next try, i got a Cascoon -_-

My little brother is currently beating all my GBA games(including Leafrgreen, where you find 2x Snorlax), and he is fast at it.
He doesn't make a team, just solo-run the whole game, and catch only strong pokemons he finds in the wild X_x... Not really Über-pro, but he beats the whole thing quickly, so i can PalPark his pokemons and then he restarts.

:O Wow... I can't say I've ever caught a Munchlax on one of those trees, but now I know why! XD

I used them a few times. If it wasn't for the GTS, Wi-fi, or owning a 3rd generation game, I wouldn't have caught some of the rarer ones like Heracross or Munchlax. I hated the whole idea of waiting about 12 hours to come back and find out that a common Pokemon like Wurmple is there waiting for you at most of your honey trees. Then, you had to repeat the whole process again. What a waste of time.
