    how do recieve gift from a friend and how can u offer to give a gift
     
    You're talking about Mystery Gift, right?

    I'm not sure, but I heard if u have a friend w/ an event item like the azure flute u do mystery gift w/ ur friend and u should get 1 I think.

    I've got all the special items by using Action Replay and you can't send them by Mystery Gift. Maybe you have to get them legitimatly I don't know...
     
    AFAIK, it's still not yet known on how Mystery Gift exactly works on Diamond/Pearl. That's all I've heard though, I might be wrong.
     
    i tried the mystery gift thing out myself, i still have no clue how it works

    perhaps it'll be for an event pokemon in the future?
     
    ^It's already in use for the Movie Darkrai event.
     
    i heard what u do is

    some goes on recieve gift and another person goes on recieve gift and u both exchange items
     
    You can unlock Mystery Gift, however, for me it always says, "No gifts were found" from the WiFi option. Anyways, here's how to unlock it:

    1.) Go to the Jubilife TV station
    2.) Go to the 3rd floor
    3.) Talk to the man in the lower room standing next to the woman
    4.) When he asks you for the first phrase, type in "everyone happy"
    5.) For the second phrase, type: "Wi-Fi Connection"

    After that, the Mystery Gift option will be unlocked on the menu screen, with three options: Friend, Wireless, WiFi. I've only ever tried WiFi, and it says that no gifts were to be found, as I mentioned above, so I'm still unsure how it works exactly (if Nintendo even set it up in the US yet).

    Oh, and you need to access Nintendo WiFi before the words "Wi-Fi" and "Connection" become available in your vocabulary.
