[Eventing Question] How can I turn dependable events' self-switches on?

I want to make it so that,when my character starts running and has a partner with him,the partner starts running as well.For that,I need to use their self-switches,but I don't know where they are.Does anyone know where I can find them?Or is there a better way of making your partner run alongside you?

I tried searching "pokemon essentials running partner" on Google before posting here but I didn't find anything.
