If Gamefreak remade and combined all regions from all previous games and threw it into one game?

Think about it. It could be possible. Imagine a game where you can challenge gym leaders in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh and the storyline changes as you travel each region. Kinda like Gold and Silver where you challenge the leaders in one region, then move to the next.

Is it just me being stupid, or is something like this possible/worthwhile?

I was thinking the exact same thing yesterday while I was playing HeartGold (and missing Ruby... *sniffle*). It would be epic.

But: They probably wouldn't do that, because then they'd sell fewer games than if you had to buy multiple games to play in all the regions.

I don't think it's stupid at all! I would love to have a game that involves all the regions. How possible that is though, I'm not sure. Either way, I'm afraid there is already an active thread like this one here. Keep in mind that the other thread is in the Pokemon Gaming Central section and so a future thread like this one would also belong there. :)
