Stealing pokemon is pretty much impossible, so organisation like Team Rocket are doomed from the start. Just remember: to trade pokemons you need a special machine to rewrite the pokemons mind, who are eternally attached to their masters.
Now this is the point we reach Ash's Charizard.
Remember how he got it?
The story goes like this: Charizard's owner said it should wait for him in the middle of a forest. Yes, his intention was to abandon it, but that was never told to charizard, especially not as an order!
Then came a lot of running around, which ended up with Charizard's owner going back for Charizard, commanding it to keep going with him.
Ash's reaction? Beating the other kid violently, and taking away his pokemon.
WHUT? Ash just stole a pokemon? So he is better at stealing them than Team Rocket? And pretty much did an impossible task?!?
