    She's stupid, such a comic relief character. How does someone like her possibly get to the semi-finals? Losing to such a comic relief character like her, does her opponents want to just.......kill themselves?

    Okay that's a bit morbid tbh. She was actually always a fairly competent competitor all throughout BW. Though a lil airheaded and hyper, she did know what she was doing in battles and that was shown time and time again. She may not seem overly serious, but she had fun and worked hard and bonded with her Pokémon. Just because someone is comic relief doesn't mean they're always unskilled.

    If Cameron was able to make it as far as he did, I'm surprised Bianca wasn't able to progress further into the league :P Bianca actually had a really good team and she was definitely capable of being a powerful Trainer. Clumsiness doesn't affect a Trainer's abilities (Barry and once again, Cameron) and her willingness to turn away from her father shows that she is passionate (or maybe rebellious). Unfortunately her development was lacking because we don't really know how she became a great Trainer, and I believe that is the reason why people underestimate her.

    First of all, she did not make it to the Top 4. She made it to the Top 64 and got beat in her second battle.

    She did however get 4th in one of the small tournaments in the Unova League known as Clubsplosion and 16th in Club Battle. She did not place any higher than the second round in the League.

    Second of all, she was an ok trainer. The main reason she placed 4th in Clubsplosion was because of Emboar.

    yoooo thanks for the correction lmao i totally skipped over the "unova league" part somehow -v-;

    I still have to say she was a pretty good trainer; the episodes with her and Minccino gave me the impression she knew how to raise it well and did a fair amount of training (about half the time it appeared there was significant improvement). Her learning to handle Escavalier was interesting as well and I wish that had been developed more.

    Yeah, I was talking about the small tournament, I should have worded it better.

    Then to answer you, she won because she used Emboar and most everyone else was using fighting types as well. Her opponents were Trip and Georgia.

    Trip had Conkeldore and Georgia had Bisharp. She beat trip because her bond with Emboar was very strong. She beat Bisharp because... well Bisharp was at a total disadvantage being Steel/Dark type. Not to mention Georgia was not that good at all.

    TOP 4 in local and global competition is something fundamentally different... o.O
    And those local competitions were themed so if you have good Pokemon for a theme, you can get far.

    Plus, she has a good seiyuu.

    Bonds with Pokemon is just pure writer's fluff. It's not enough for a trainer to be completely decent. It's just an aesop for children that can't possibly be applied to the games, let alone the real world.

    But yeah, Bianca isn't exactly the most focused trainer (while the dub just makes her downright annoying). Bonnie has a better chance than her, and she's 7.....ish. But we'll forgive Bianca since Unova is filled with so many annoying characters, with the worst offender being:

    None other than Cameron, who should be the true focus of this thread, if we're seriously talking about the Unova League.

    But it's not all bad for Bianca, since she could always be a satellite love interest for one character who is similar to her, but has far better skills and characterization than her: Barry. Sure she's older than him biologically, but isn't by any means mentally.

    If you hadn't learned by now, when does the anime follow in game power? Most of the time, they completely ignore it and they bring up the bonding with pokemon. And that is exactly how she won, because of the bond in the anime. We are talking about the anime not the games.
