I think hatching would be the best way since you have some control over the natures (if you use the Everstone thing, for example), and you could pass some good egg moves. If you're not interested in that, then just use the PokeRadar thingimajiggermabob.

Oh and if anyone wanted to know, the percentage of catching a shiny without pokeradar is 0.0001220703125%, 0.0001% for short.

Actually there is no certain way on how to catch one you just have to use the pokeradar, chaining with it, in hope you can raise the chances of finding one, and of course lots of pacience ;)

There is no surefire way of encountering a shiny.

You can just cheat by getting a Action Replay or do the second post's idea.

Use your Poke'rader, and soon you'll be sure to find one.

Use Pokeballs and other balls in the ball pocket, there question answered, you catch Shinies just like regular Pokemon *shot*
