4th Gen how do I find shiny pokemon?

In pokemon heartgold and soul silver, are there any tricks to get a shiny pokemon? If so, what are the tricks?

Well, I hear that if you have a foreign ditto in the daycare, it doubles your chances of getting a shiny in the egg. It may also help if the other parent is foreign also.

Or you could stalk the trade boards and look for one... and to answer your question...or to repeat someone's answer

Other than the Masuda Method and RNG, the only other way to find a Shiny is by luck and chance. Everything mentioned above pretty much answers this question though. Might I direct you to use the HG/SS Help Thread for further questions please.
