4th Gen How do I get to Route 2?

    Hello,
    My son is looking to catch a Pikachu and I have read he can be caught in Viridian Forest, which is located at Route 2.

    He is currently in Route 35. Is there a logical way to get to Route 2, or any shortcuts?

    I've done a search but couldnt find any maps\directions.

    Ok thanks. Are the routes numbered logically? I.e Standing on route 25 has route 24 and 26 next to it?

    Sorry for the most likely stupid question
     
    The Routes in Gold/Silver do not start at Route 1. So Route 2 would be located in the Kanto region. You won't be able to get to the Kanto region until way later in the game as well...So Yah...
    I can't remember too well, so I dont know if Pikachu can be caught in HG/SS as well...
     
    Pikachu can't be found in Route 2, but are found in Viridian Forest in the Kanto region. Viridian Forest is north of Route 2.
     
    Uh Lawbsta, in HGSS, Pikachu can be found in Route 2 aswell as Viridian Forest.
     
    You can get one from the Yellow Forest on the Pokewalker since the event is still up.
